let me tell you mine..

Before you share your story..

Hello and welcome! My name is Magdalene Anne, and I'm a Central Illinois-based photographer with a passion for capturing beautiful moments and creating stunning imagery.

I’m down to earth and quite sarcastic. I love random chats about life, traveling and creating art. When we meet, I can promise you 2 things - laughs till your stomach hurts as well as beautiful photo memories that we’ll create together.

Little Back Story

Growing up on a farm in central Illinois was a wild ride. Surrounded by every farm animal imaginable and fields of corn and soybeans, my childhood was a blend of outdoor adventures and pitching in on farm chores. I strongly believe that the hard work ethic instilled in me from a young age has been a key factor in shaping me into the dedicated worker I am today. Now, let's talk about my love for photography. It's been a lifelong obsession, but my journey as a professional photographer officially kicked off 6 years ago when I got my hands on my first DSLR camera. Since then, it's been a whirlwind of honing my craft and developing a style that's uniquely mine.

Session Goal

My approach to photography is to capture moments that are genuine and authentic. I love working with my clients to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, where they can be themselves and let their personalities shine through. Whether I'm photographing a wedding, a family session, or a senior session my goal is always to capture the essence of the moment and create images that will be cherished for years to come.

My Second Passion

When I am not behind the camera or my laptop editing, you can find me in my garden. Call me grandma! Spending time in my garden taking care of my plants and harvesting vegetables brings me so much joy. As well as working on my husband and I's old fixer upper home. It was built in 1918 and we love every corner it has full of character. That being said, we still have a lot of work to do to it till it fully feels like our home. It is a lot of work but renovating it to keep it true to its original time period is another passion of mine, and my wonderful husband is there to execute all of my plans! So thankful for him.

What To Expect

When you work with me, you can expect a personalized approach that takes into account your vision and goals for the shoot. I believe that great photography is a collaboration between the photographer and the subject, and I strive to make every session a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Specializing in Family and Senior Portraits, my mission is to do more than just take pretty pictures. I want to capture moments that tell a story, moments that are not only visually stunning but also rich in narrative. Let's embark on this visual storytelling adventure together!

My Better Half

I can't forget to talk about my amazing husband! Reuben and I got married in November of 2023. I prayed and prayed for a man like him to come into my life and the Lord answered. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. There have been times where this job gets too overwhelming but he is always there to encourage me no matter what. Without him I don't know if I would still be taking photos today! We both grew up on farms so we understood each others work ethics and work hours. He works late and I have photo sessions late. It just works! When we aren't working we enjoy to travel. We particularly love Spain and Europe in general. The wine and stunning architecture is our favorite we could talk all day about it. We also enjoy to snorkel around the bays of beautiful Maui and just spend as much time outside as we physically can. Even though we both have jobs that require us to be outside LOL. I can't imagine my life without him by my side and I hope that whoever is reading this is, if you are still waiting to find your person. My advice that worked for me was PRAY. PRAY. PRAY. and don't be ~looking~ for a relationship. It will just sneak right up on you! Voilà!

A Not-So little Thank You...

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to share my passion for photography with you. For me, photography is more than just a craft or a career. It's a way of seeing and experiencing the world that allows me to connect with people and places in a profound way.

Every photograph I take represents a moment in time, a memory captured forever. And it is truly an honor to be entrusted with the task of preserving these memories for my clients. From the joy and excitement of a wedding day to the quiet intimacy of a family portrait session, I feel privileged to be able to witness and capture these special moments.

Finally, I want to express my appreciation to all of my clients and supporters who have helped me along this journey. Without your trust, encouragement, and support, I would not be where I am today. I am grateful for each and every one of you, and I look forward to continuing to create and share beautiful imagery with you for years to come.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your interest in my work, and for allowing me to be a part of your story.
